We went to the circus!!

Hey all! Well we finally made it to Weston, Fl. We are semi settled in a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. It's nothing to write about. Just a simple apartment. We moved in on Thursday, January 15.

Last night we had Shannon over for dinner. (the nanny) And that went really well. I made Greek Tacos a-la- Kay Logan. I love those tacos!! I can eat them almost everyday. Delicious!

Today we went to Church. We went to Calvary Chapel Sawgrass. Todd seemed to like it. I still don't know. I think it was ok. But I think we can find something better. I kind of like the more conservative type churches. This one was really contemporary. And I don't think I am ready for that. It took a lot for me to be ok with the super big church IBC. This one is about 1/4 that size but with the contemporary music and "come as you are" type of attitude. I think that's all good, but I think people should TRY to look their best. It's church for crying out loud!!! TRY to look your best. It's a different attitude. Flip flops and jeans and that's ok. Todd seems to like it. And maybe on a super hot humid day I would too. We're going to check out a couple more churches. I hope we find one we both like.

Today we also went to the circus! It was my fist time. The girls loved it! We went with a buddy of Todd's. Scott. He was awesome with the girls! Rebecca wanted to sit next to him and hold his hand. He loaded them up on sweets and cute circus hats. We had a blast! At least I did.

Here is a picture of Madison. Super cute!

On the road again... just can't wait to get on the road again

Sorry it's been so long since I last update this! I get "harassed" by Kay about not updating this regularly. I want to promise I will from now on, but why make promises I can't keep?

So we went to Florida in December to look for a house and also to "vacation" with Todd's parents. That was a productive trip. We found a house we really really liked and we hired a nanny. The house we found is a short sale so we don't know if and when we'll get it. They told us it will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks for the bank to make a decision on whether or not they'll accept our offer. So far it's been 3 weeks. We hope to get this house. If we don't we'll be sad, but know there are so many things out there for sale. We'll find something.

This past Wednesday the packers came to our house and worked Wed. and Thursday and packed up all our crap, I mean stuff. Then Friday(yesterday) the loaders came and loaded all our crap on a truck. So we stayed the night with Joe and Angie. This morning we went back to the house to see if we left anything and finished loading our over night bags. We said goodbye to our friends and neighbors The Kennedy's. That was one of the hardest things I have had to do. I made some really good friends in Springfield. Beth is one of them. I felt like a piece of me was being torn from inside. I really felt my insides hurting when we were saying our goodbyes.

Last night I said goodbye to Robin and that was equally hard. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Kay. I don't know if that is good or bad. I know I felt like I had been through a lot and one more would really break me down. As we were driving away, I just wanted to turn around and go back home. But I didn't.

You're probably thinking 'Why are you telling me this?' Well I don't know. I just know I needed to tell people how hard it was to leave Springfield, Virginia.

We drove about 5 hours and are now in Fayetteville, NC. This is where Todd was born. Fort Bragg.

The girls are still sick, but I've been loading them up on all the available OTC medicines for children. Hope that's OK.

Tomorrow will be a long day. We're going to drive to Jacksonville, Florida. We'll stay the night there and then off to Brandon, Florida. This is where Todd's mom and dad live.

We'll stay there for a few days and then go to Weston, Florida. We got a furnished apartment there and we'll live there until we find a house.

This time I will try to take some pictures and post them on the blog. I promise I'll try....

House Hunting

Well, we're in Florida. We just got back to Tampa from Ft. Lauderdale. We found a BEAUTIFUL house! We submitted an offer, but it's a short sale and there are a couple other offers on the table so who knows if we'll get it. There is another house we liked so if this one doesn't go through hopefully the other one is still on the market and we can get that one. Both homes are in Miramar. It's about a 12 minute drive for Todd and it will be a 40 min. drive for me.

We did go by Todd's office and we went by my station. My station is getting ready to move into a new building in a few months and the new building is very nice! HUGE station.

We did a lot of driving and a lot of good eating while out there.

Todd's mom and dad watched Rebecca and Madison for us while we were out there. That made it like a mini honeymoon. :)

It's just a matter of weeks before we leave my beloved Springfield, Virginia. I am going to miss Virginia so much. It's a beautiful place to live. I hope one day we can go back. I have made some life long friends and I am going to miss them. It's going to be hard on the girls to not have their friends around.

I did find a nanny! Yay! She's a little young, but she seems to be on fire for the Lord and I hope it all works out.

We didn't find a church though. And that concerns me. I really want to get involved with a church as soon as we get out there. And we need a preschool for Rebecca too.

All in all, regardless of the offer outcome, this trip has been a success. We got a really good idea about the area and what we should expect.

If things start to look good with the house, we'll post some pictures. I don't want to get my hopes up. I am going to be really sad if we don't get it.

We are going to spend Christmas with Todd's parents. I'll try to get some pictures posted from that day as soon as we can.

Bryant family health

Well looks like we are all either sick, getting sick, or getting over being sick. It's like a revolving door with the cold this past week. Todd is hopefully on his way to recovery. So is Madison. But Rebecca and I are getting sick. AGAIN....

I've been looking for a nanny out in the Weston area. I've had a few people that sound kind of good. Lets just pray that it all works out.

I still don't know if I passed my drug test... ? I hope I did. Otherwise I have some explaining to do. But until they pin with something, I will deny everything, admit nothing, launch counter accusations, demand proof, and remember... videos and pictures can be altered. So, they have nothing!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for. I will be sure to thank God that I have a family and that I have food on the table and I have a warm bed to sleep on. Simple things. Things we take for granted.

Thanks for reading. I plan to take some good pictures tomorrow. So keep on checking on us.

So it looks like we're moving to Florida.... yay

So by now I'm sure you have all heard we're moving to Florida... yay

It's getting a little stressful and we've only known about this for... not even 24 hours. So many things to do and plans to make and we can't do it until we get orders cut.

I guess we're getting stressed about stuff we have no control over. I just pray that God gives me strength and patience to deal with all that is involved. I pray that God helps me be a good mother to my daughters. And a good wife and friend to my husband. I pray that God relaxes me and helps me deal with all that is to come.

I still haven't heard if the Border Patrol wants me back. For all I know they don't and I'm stressing about that too.

I think we are in for a wild ride this next month or two. Keep checking in on us and we'll keep you all posted.

Hello Dominick!

This is my nephew Dominick! He looks just like his daddy! And the last picture is of Todd with Dominick

Todd's back home!!

Todd made it back home this morning. My Papi Chulo is back!!! Hooray! He was out on the BEST coast for about 5 or 6 days. So now he's back. He saw my sister Lydia and her baby boy and my brother in law Jose. They all seem to be doing fine. We'll be posting some pictures Todd took out there, later.
